Kevin & I just celebrated 2
years of marriage in July. In total, we have been together for 10 years! Above, we are in a horse & carriage ride through Central Park. Below, we are standing in the United
States Capitol in the center of Washington DC.

HOW WE MET
Kevin & I met on December 4, 1998.
I was working for USAA insurance company at the time. USAA had a Christmas work party, which I attended with my parents.
(My dad also worked for USAA at the time.)
The theme for the Christmas party was
Monte Carlo Night, which is pseudo gambling. At that time, Kevin was working as a card dealer for parties such
as this one.
Anyway, Kevin was dealing Blackjack
& I sat at his table with my parents. We stayed there for a couple hours and I talked with Kevin. Then someone
came to give Kevin a work break. While Kevin was on his break, my parents & I left to go to another card game.
At the end of the party, my parents
& I went back to Kevin's table. Kevin immediately said to me, "You're a pretty girl. Do you want my number?"
I smiled and said, "Yes."
Kevin didn't have a pen, so my mom (always
prepared) reached into her purse and retrieved a pen & paper. Kevin wrote down his number, and I called him two
days later (per dating etiquette).
I'm so glad I did....

HOW WE GOT ENGAGED
On August 7, 2005, I woke up in the
morning as Kevin was trying to put a ring on my finger. I was so excited! Then he asked me to marry him and I
said yes. Afterwards, we spent a wonderful day together in Washington DC.
